No homework tonight. Instead get your costume ready for our dress rehearsal tomorrow. Appropriate pajamas, bathrobe, slippers, or sweats would be great.
Tomorrow morning we'll have a performance from the High School Choir before our dress rehearsal. We also hope to do our math projects and chess club. Tomorrow afternoon we have P.E. and we'll finish our social studies test. Time for Show-n-Tell will be requested too.
The days before Christmas are getting pretty busy. Please plan to come to one of our performances next week!
Homework tonight is a math page practicing place value.
We used the lights today in play practice and continued to make a little progress. We're going to do a dress rehearsal on Friday so please send pajamas, bathrobes, and slippers (or whatever they're going to wear during the play - sweats are okay as well) to school on Friday.
This afternoon we went over the reading unit test and finished our writing test.
Don't forget our Christmas Concert is tomorrow morning at 10:30.
Did you see the new school phone books?
Homework tonight is math practice. We started working on place value today and tonight's homework should be pretty easy.
We read about how Canada gained their independence, took a reading test, and practiced a bunch of noun stuff (plurals and possessives). Play practice is going really well.
Thanks to Mrs. Distil for coming in and leading us in making our candy cane Santas!
Homework tonight is spelling practice.
Our play practice is coming along nicely. Just about everybody now has their lines memorized. Thanks for the hard work last night. Did you get the invitation I sent home tonight? If not you can view a simplified version of it online by clicking here. (We're also looking for a shop light and a thin mattress to be the boy's bed.)
We read about our nation's constitution and ended the day writing and practicing common and proper nouns.
Tomorrow is Friday! (We're going to get out the chess boards too)
Homework tonight is to practice our play. I told each student to work on memorizing their lines and to write a short history of their character. Tell us your name, where you live, how old you are, what you like to do, etc. The parts that are "students" should write a paragraph telling us how your going to do a good job. What will your voice be like? Who will you look at? How will you stand? How will you prepare?
Play practice is going well. Everyone knows where they're suppose to be throughout the play and some students even have their lines memorized. We'll be working more on delivering our lines and knowing what to do when we're not speaking.
We also took a reading comprehension test, learned about common and proper nouns, and wrote a paragraph about our favorite animal.
I'm looking forward to the big game tonight. I'm glad I got Directv!
