Homework tonight is a grammar page of commas.  We practiced in class at the end of the day.

We have two new members of the "Masters of Multiplication" club.  Congratulations to Sam and Nathan!

Homework tonight is spelling practice.  This week's bonus words are:  appendicitis, considerate, and extension.

We're learning about chance and probability in math and learned about parallel circuits in science.  We need some more work on the circuits, so we'll come back to them on Thursday.

We have about one week left on our multiplication facts, so ask your child which ones he/she needs to practice.  Jacob became our first "Master of Multiplication" today.  Congratulations, Jacob!

Homework tonight is a science page.  Will the light bulb light?

In math we continued to practice finding the mean and median.  We foudn the mean and median of our class's armspan today.  Ask your child how we did it.

In science we discovered where a hidden wire was located.  Ask how we did that.

We heard the first four biography reports today and am glad to report that we're off to a great start.  The students had a lot of details and spoke in loud, clear voices.

More reports tomorrow!

Homework tonight is to practice biography reports.  We let several students make a practice run today and they sounded pretty good.  There were some good details and organization.  Remember the reports start on Wednesday and your child should know when he/she is scheduled to present (a schedule went home on Friday).

Don't forget tomorrow at 8:30 is the Track Meet.  Our nurse sent out an email reminding everyone to get well hydrated tonight in preparation for the high temperatures.  Unfortunately I won't be there, but Mrs. Owens will be rooting on our team.

I'll see you on Wednesday.

Tonight's homework is to get started on the biography report.  You'll notice a note went home tonight explaining the report.  Before your chld left from school today, he/she set up his/her notebook to take notes.  The homework assignment is to write three notes under one or several of the headings.  The rest of the week we'll be reading and taking notes in class.

The students also visited the EDITH house today with the fireman and have a badge and a brochure.

We started a new chapter on math dealing with measuring and took a comprehension test in reading.
