No real homework tonight. I did tell the students to come up with about 10 Christmas/winter words for a special spelling test or Bingo on Friday.

We practiced hard on our play today. We practiced in the morning and afternoon. Tomorrow will be our dress rehearsal, so please send pajamas/bathrobes with your child tomorrow. We're looking forward to seeing you all at one of our performances beginning on Wednesday!

Thanks for all your help on lines and props!

Check out the new phone directories that went home tonight, and have a good evening.

Our play practice continues to go great.  We are now in need of props.  Ask your child what props we need, and please send any that you don't mind us using.

Homework tonight is more big number practice in math.

I'm off to get the other teachers signed up to view our play.

Have a good night.

We're in the millions now!  That's right, we learned to say and write numbers up to the millions place today.  We haven't masterd it yet, and we'll continue to work on it through the week.  You'll be able to see how your child is doing on the math homework page tonight.

Play practice went very well today.  The students paid close attention and everyone knows where they're suppose to be for each scence.  Tomorrow will work on projecting our voices better.

Homework tonight is a spelling practice page.

We moved down to the Activity room today to practice our play.  We worked briefly on knowing where to be when.  We'll have much more practice during the week.  Keep working on those lines!

In math we're working on place value.  Your child should know how to write and read 5-digit numbers.  We played a great game today called "Number Top-It"...it's probably at the Everyday math website.  I'll try to check tomorrow.

Oh, it's a great night of Monday Night Football tonight.  My two favorite teams - the Seahawks and the Cowboys.  I'm picking up some pizza on the way home...Go Hawks!

Enjoy!

I've got a lot papers tonight, so...

Homework is a cursive practice page.

Every student now knows which lines are theirs in our play.  Encourage your child to practice his/her part.

Wednesday, December 01, 2004

Homework tonight is a math page.  Your child should be able to show you how to find distances on a map.

We've just about assigned all the parts for the Polar Express.  We still have a lot of narration type lines to hand out to whomever wants them.  Encourage your child to read through the play tonight and pick out a couple of "student" lines to try out for tomorrow.

Have a good evening.
