Homework tonight is a math page with our old friends the fact triangles.

Look for a letter from me begging for ice cream sundae supplies.

Big night tonight.  Not only are there some great sporting events to watch, but it's Fantasia versus Diana!  Who are you voting for?

Homework tonight is the usual Monday night stuff - spelling practice.

We enjoyed our track meet this morning.  Not only did we fare well in many events (3rd in the class relay race), but we were also well-behaved at the meet and the rest of the day at school.

Only 12 days left till summer!

Don't forget tomorrow afternoon we get to go to Riverside High School to watch a Disney musical.

Enjoy your evening.

As usual for a Monday, tonight's homework is spelling practice.

Two other important papers went home tonight as well.  One of them is a permission form for participation in our Track Meet next Monday (the 24th) and the other one is a survey concerning the possible realignment of our school district.  Please make sure your voice is heard!

Don't forget permission slips for Thursday afternoon's trip to the High School concert should be returned by tomorrow.  Have a good night.

Homework tonight is a little unusual - it's a science test.  It should be completed tonight (most already got a good start on it in class) and returned tomorrow.  Students should be able to use their knowledge of circuits to determine if the girl on the test is right.

FYI:  I'm taking a personal day tomorrow so Mrs. Thomas will be teaching in my place.  Students will learn about weight and communications in a city to name a couple items she will cover.

See you on Friday!  Don't forget the Spring Concert is Friday at 1:00!

Homework tonight is a math page from yesterday's work.  Yesterday we learned about linear measurements and today we worked on area and volume.  The students made little three dimensional objects and filled them with centimeter cubes to find the volume.  Then they discovered that the could determine the volume by multiplying the area of the base and the height.

This afternoon we discovered how to create an electromagnet and discussed ways to make it a stronger magnet.  We like FOSS science!

Enjoy your evening.  Mariners at the Twins.

Letter Correction

I took a look at the letter and it really doesn't explain the Ice Cream Sundae multiplication time tests well.  It just begs for supplies from you so that we can really load up those banana splits.  So, if you have a question about how it all works leave me a comment and I'll be glad to give you my best answer.  I'll be sending "begging" letter later in the month.

No official homework tonight. I told the students to use the time tonight to catch up on anything that needs finishing (a student wasn't able to finish his social studies test during class and a number of students still need to work on their Mother's Day poems).

This morning we began the multiplication time tests to earn the parts of a banana split.  I'll be sending home a letter soon explaining the whole thing in more detail, but many students passed their 2's test today and earned their spoon!  Tomorrow it's on to the 10's and a chance to win the ice cream.   Look for the letter soon.

Looking forward to art  tomorrow, Tracey!

This afternoon we found the definitions for the main words of the Pledge of AllegianceTonight's homework then is to rewrite the Pledge by not using any of the italized words but instead using their definitions.  Tomorrow morning we will use one of the rewritten Pledges to lead us in the flag salute.

Homework tonight is math practice.  Tomorrow's our test so this will be good preparation.

In science today we learned about parallel circuits.  Ask your child to tell you how to light two light bulbs brightly using only one battery.

Mariners are at home against the Twins tonight.  Enjoy your evening.
